With Storey
Read one statement
One fee covers all of it. No extras, no markup.
Seven percent of the rent we collect, for buildings of ten homes or more. Everything in this list is included.

Taking over
Thirty days to take over a building. Here is each of them.
Owners, in their own words. Ask us for their numbers.
They took on eighteen apartments with five empty and a dead boiler. Six weeks later the building was full and warm, and I had a statement I could read.
I own one building and live four states away. I hear from Storey on the 5th of every month, and otherwise only when there is something for me to decide.
The repair line is the reason our tenants renew. Someone answers, someone comes, and I see the invoice before I pay it.

For residents
Live in one of our buildings? This door is yours.
What owners ask first. Fees are question one.
If yours is not here, call 215 555 0142 and ask for the manager on duty.
What does Storey charge?
A flat 7% of rent collected for buildings of ten homes or more, and 8% below that. Leasing a vacant home costs half of one month’s rent. There are no setup fees and no markup on repairs.
How quickly can you take over a building?
Usually within 30 days. We need the leases, the keys, the rent roll and your current vendor list. We write to every tenant ourselves.
When do I get paid?
Rent is due on the 1st. We pay owners on the 5th by bank transfer, with a statement for each building the same day.
Who approves repairs?
You do, for anything over $300. Below that we go ahead and you see the invoice on your statement. Emergencies are made safe first and reported the same day.
Do you manage single homes?
Not usually. We take buildings and portfolios of six homes or more, which is what our staffing is built around.
Can I leave if it isn’t working?
Yes. Agreements run month to month after the first year, with 60 days’ notice and no exit fee.

Maintenance
The five things that fail in the first cold week
Boilers, mostly. Here is what we service in October so that nobody calls us in November.

Compliance
What a rental license inspection actually checks
The inspector has a list of eleven items. Nine of them are things a landlord can fix in an afternoon.

Leasing
Why we publish our vacancy rate every quarter
An empty home is the most expensive thing an owner can have. We would rather you could see the number.
